Arigatou, Shinigami-sama

For the little story, the dropdown menu is created by doing an Ajax request to the server (to get the list), and then built from the ground using Javascript. I’ve left the Javascript unminified, in case you want to have a look. I’m no JS expert, but I like the end result.
The menu uses CSS3 for some sexy styling and animation. It’ll degrade nicely if your browser doesn’t support the latest CSS styling tags, so no worries on that side.
Untested on IE (is that a browser anyway?), though it should work as well. You’ll also get a nice warning box if your Javascript is disabled.

Whenever I update a chart, new anime in the list will be marked with a “NEW” animated image next to them. This way, you can quickly know where the new stuff is, without necessarily taking a look at the chart.
I’ve also added two new background images to the main page, to complete the “set”.
The image will change randomly at each pageload.
On the blog side, I’ve modified the “Website” menu on the menubar to add both the Neregate and Baka.bz websites.

I have other plans for the future, like alternative displays for the menu :
Menu > Anime Season > List

Well, this is just an idea for now. Your ideas and critics are more than welcome to expand the functionalities of the service

Sharing the base URL of the service now has a real meaning, unlike the previous version.

Side note, but I noticed two holes in the anime index, so I filled them with Train Hero and Beyblade Zero-G. These websites’ redirections won’t work if you pick them.
Also, the “Gakkatsu!” anime has the same code as the Jewelpet TV series. I’ll fix that in the v4.

I guess I was not a juicy customer for them, as I consume a large amount of bandwidth and pay a relatively small fee. Obviously I didn’t agree to their offer and decided to change my webhost.
The essential part of the migration (i.e. the blog) is complete. All medias (images, etc.) have been moved to a subdomain to speedup page loading.
Permalink structure was a complete mess but it should be fine now. Still having some trouble to set up the redirection rules for old URLs, but this should be sorted out soon.
Subdomains are still in a KO state right now, though I plan on bringing them back one by one once I’m done with the primary blog.

Everything on the blog “should” be working, though please do not hesitate (I insist on that one), to tell me if anything seems broken. I did the whole webhost migration myself (unlike most people who ask the webhost team to handle the procedure) to have more control over the process, and to clean up things to a great extend. I’m not an expert at this, so please tell me if you encounter any problems.

Missing PotDs will be posted soon. Previous GtA will be canceled because of the downtime, and there won’t be a GtA for the first half of this week as well (sorry). Chart will be delayed for a couple days until I finish cleaning up the mess.

I apologize for the inconvenience, and hope this webhost will last longer than the previous one.

Overall, I couldn’t care less about the attack (that’s what backups are for). I just wasted some time restoring things, but whatever. Quite sad to see that even small places like this one are targeted. Some people must be pretty bored or desperate for some results out there.

This may or may not be the last time this happens, so thanks for your patience regarding those issues Tomorrow, I’ll be resuming what I had planned to do.

Happy New Year, people ! I hope that 2012 will bring you success in both your professional or student life, happiness, petankos and lolis, of course (what else, really )!

As for me, 2011 was a big turning point on both IRL and IVL sides. I had go through a lot of hardships (and I am in no way exaggerating) to get where I stand today, but now I am definitely there and I enjoy every one of my days, both at work and at home. Keep on fighting for what you want to become!

Just like Halloween, I’ve compiled two packs featuring xmas artworks.

After struggling with dozens of PHP classes and thousands of JavaScript lines for several days, I’m finally done with this.
The existing Image Galleries have all been migrated to the new imageboard. I have yet to remove the existing ones from the blog as well as updating the links (because it’s getting kinda superlate already), but this’ll be done shortly.
Some of you may find the imageboard’s design quite familiar, and you’re not mistaken
I’ve done some extensive testing, but if you find anything wrong or are getting errors (sexy 404 and 403), please let me know so that I can fix them. Thanks !
The board is supposedly optimized for IPhones/IPads and the like, though I have no real way to know (because I do not own stuff made by Ringo-kun). If you’ve got one of those, feel free to tell me if you see any difference with the normal browsing.

I’ve added the “DotA2 Mizugi Event” submissions to the list of existing galleries.
I plan on adding a new gallery shortly, as well as making a new “useless poll” to decide who the next featured gallery character will be.

It looks like Valve is sending more and more invitations, so if you haven’t been lucky with this event, I think you still got good chances to be selected for the beta.

Uncle Zana got his DotA 2 beta invitation a couple of days ago. The invitation comes with two extra copies of the beta access that I can distribute, which is what I am about to do.
Considering the small amount of people who have access to DotA2 (I won’t disclose the numbers), these are great prizes imo.

I’m organizing 2 little “events”, with DotA 2 Beta invitations as prizes.
For those who regularly lurk in here, these events are roughly the same as the birthday events I organized a few months ago.
Details below :

There will be 2 “sub-events” for this event.
You can participate in both or just one, but you may win only once.
Important note : You will need Steam to actually play DotA 2.
If you already have access to DotA 2, I’d be grateful if you could avoid participating in these events (for the sake of people who do not have an invitation yet), thanks!

The event has already started, and will end on the 11th of December.

First event :

The first event is simple, and everyone can participate with little effort.

All you have to do is guess a number between 1 and 300000. Example : 116748.

How do you win? Simple : Since the event already started, I chose a number between 1 and 300000.
Among all the people who participated, the one who guessed the closest number to the one I chose for the contest will win the event. In case several people “win” (I doubt this’d happen, but we never know), one winner will be picked at random (using a random number script).

Then, submit your answer using the link below.
When submitting your answer, you’ll be asked for a nickname and an email address along with your answer. Make sure you specify a valid email so that I can contact you in case you win.
You can submit an answer only once. Submitting more than once will disqualify you. I’ll have several ways of checking multiple submissions, of course. However, I hope you’ll play fair so that I won’t have anyone to disqualify

Second event :

The second event (my favorite ) is, as you know, very “Neregate-like”.
If you’re under legal age, you should avoid participating in this event, as it may require you to search for a NSFW (Non-Safe For Work) picture.
That said, let’s see what the event is about :

You’ll need to find a Mizugi picture for me. A valid example is shown below :

Among all the pictures, I’ll pick the one I like most (the winner will be the one who suggested this pic).
If you’ve been lurking around, you probably have an idea of my preferences. If not, feel free to browse the past pages a bit (be careful, the site contains NSFW content everywhere).
Note that you must not submit a 18+ picture, but you can submit a NSFW picture. This means : it’s okay as long as we don’t see any private parts (this time, nipples are forbidden too). Also, there must be only one person on the picture.
Unlike the first event, you can submit multiple times, but only your last submission will be taken into account. However, trying to submit multiple times by faking yourself as another person will get you disqualified.
Take your time to search ! No need to submit in a hurry if it’s to submit a new picture the next day. Submitting late is probably the best choice, although you have higher risks of forgetting about the contest as well (unless you’re a regular).
Just like the first event, you will be able to submit your answer along with a nickname, and an email. If possible, try to submit a picture at a decent resolution (that is not an obligation though).
