To all of you who own or have their site hosted on a VPS, be aware that a SolusVM zero-day exploit has been affecting servers all over the globe. If you own a VPS managed using the SolusVM Control Panel Interface, you should change your access password, all SSH access passwords to your servers (not using SolusVM but directly from your server) or, which is what I’m going to do, wipe all your Virtual Machines and recreate them from scratch. I own two VPS for the upcoming website migration (stuff that I should’ve completed ages ago…), and since I don’t know for how long files may have been tampered with, it’s better to just start over completely.
Web hosters are more or less serious, and mine was kind enough to warn me about the exploit.
