Japanese Artists – Shiranori

A strange style we got here.

Shiranori (白井)

I’m not sure how to describe Shiranori’s artworks. Feels a bit like your standard Japanese drawing style, with duller colors, and a very light noise/crisp effect on the final work.
The result is quite pleasant, and gives a pretty unique atmosphere. “Dark themed” references like Steins;Gate (first picture) are a perfect fit for this kind of style imo.

This artist’s artworks can easily be recognized by the details mentioned above, as well as a couple more distinctive traits : Pointy noses, and.. skirts ! Looks like Shiranori is quite fond of those, as most of his/her artworks feature characters wearing the said skirts.

You’ll also notice that backgrounds are rarely present, but that doesn’t mean the artist doesn’t know how to do them. In fact, he/she does them in a pretty nice way too ! (cf Pixiv)
The two downsides are the low resolution publications, and the low frequency at which new content is released.

As a general rule, I’ll never post more than 5 pictures of an artist when I feature him/her.
