Poll : PotD art resolution

For a while now, I’ve been wondering whether I should feature artworks that have a width or height lower than 1000 pixels, for the Picture of the Day category.

There are plenty of nice Pixiv artworks out there, but some are below the current resolution requirement so they do not get featured.
I’m gathering opinions to know if I should keep the category as it is, or feature lower resolution art as well (it should always be higher than 700px though).

Your opinion would be very much appreciated!

  1. I don’t see why not.

IMHO, as long as the pic are not ridiculously small and we can still see it with naked eye, everything is good.

Don’t see a problem, as long as there’s not too many of them. I do prefer the more detailed pics, and so does my monitor :D

Good art is good art regardless of size.

Mostly asking because more and more people got wide screens, and low-res pictures would look really tiny on screen :/

then how about going with 2 smaller ones at once?:D

even now you rarely give us sth 1920×1080 for wallpaper, so whatever as for me :D

If I were to put two pictures, it wouldn’t be “Picture” but “Pictures“, which kinda kills the category :x
For high resolution, wallpaper-sized images, I too would like to put some more, but large and good ones are hard to find, even in the jungle of Pixiv.

Not a problem to me but i would prefer high quality and detailed pics though.

As long as It’s not too difficult, I think you could give it a try :-?

It’s not difficult, but people with wide resolution monitors may find them quite small ;)
