Picture of the day – 31/10/2011

Results of the previous GtA :
-Wazabii-, Asawon, Auro, Belkod, Daiwod, Erulim, Hinochi, InstantLove, Jumendez-sama, Nii~Paa, saviourshadow, silent4lyfe and Theo found the right anime, which was Zero no Tsukaima (yea, not Shana, sorry :/).
Also people : Make an effort to put the name of the anime in your answers! I had a “Pink haired tsundere and her familiar” answer, which is kinda.. errr.. right, but.. next time I won’t count it as a correct answer, right? :mrgreen: Good luck with the new GtA!

Beat of the week changed to Ringo Juice, from the popular romance anime Honey and Clover. Getting the full version of the song in HQ was a real pain. That was long ago though.

Aside from this, hope you’ll enjoy these temporary Halloween changes I made to the blog. I’m quite fond of my new sidebar avatar actually. I tweaked the code a bit and now you even have a nice sound when you hover the mouse over it :twisted:

Happy Halloween 2011 !


Happy Halloween people !
Quite funny for me to say that, as I don’t celebrate Halloween myself (aside from the blog). This ain’t much, but I hope you’ll like the visual changes 8) These changes will last for one week (until next Monday). I also uploaded a pack of Halloween Pixiv pictures, which can be downloaded by clicking on this link (mirror). Pack contains some NSFW, but no 18+ content. The gallery will come later (to avoid putting too much stress on the server).

Japanese Artists – KOALA

Landscapes again.

KOALA (KOALA)
Another talented artist whose landscapes are sure to catch your attention. The art reminds me of those “old games” like Riven. You’ll also notice that the artist seem to like drawing ships, whales and large buildings. In most of KOALA’s pictures, you’ll find one huge element on which your eye is likely to focus : one ship, one building, etc. This “signature’ and peculiar style makes it quite easy to spot his/her artworks from the rest. As usual, KOALA’s Pixiv profile is a must see, with a ton of great artworks (and potential wallpapers for some of you?).

First GtA of the week seems to have trapped many people.
arnfear, Furiten and Rennie got it right, with Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon (aka “The show which plot has yet to start after episode 4″) and, to be more specific, this part of the first episode.
The new GtA should be easier. Good luck ;)
We’ve got a JA post tomorrow. Halloween is drawing near as well. Guess I know what I’ll have to do this weekend :)

Edit : Tomodachi 04 just when I was about to go to bed.. *starts watching* sob :/

Finished the full Itsuwari no Utahime movie. I really should’ve watched this earlier.
My eyes are still in kira☆kira mode Best two hours of my life :p
If all anime could have this level of animation quality, that would be paradise.

Anyway, how about a Sena and Yozora PotD?
This one was starting to take dust in my Pending PotD folder.

Results for last week’s GtA are as follows :
Asawon, Auro, DisturbedTK, Erulim, Furiten, John Smith, Jumendez-sama, Kurai, LaLa-Sama, meteochan, naok, Pulla, Raitsui and Sola found the right anime, which was Fate/Zero.
I’m dying to put a video of that sample, but I’ll restrain myself :3 Good luck with the new GtA (izzzy).
Beat of the week changed to a remix of an anime’s ending song you know/hate well.

Well, Halloween coming soon. Time to play with CSS and Javascript.

Nothing much to say, really. I’ll just hurry to bed cos I’m going back to work in 5 hours , huhu.

I admit my guilt, I spent most of my weekend watching anime :/

Found an another awesome Japanese artist to feature. Quite amazing to think that you can still find good artists when you already have over 500+ people in your bookmarks.
