Spring 2011 Animes charts v3.1 (Static & Animated) Released
This release fixes the order of the TV series. They’re now in the right chronological order.
Consider this as an “optional” release.

What would the lolis be if I didn’t include Mafuyu.
I thought I could trap more people with last week’s GtA, but it seems that many of you are following the Winter shows carefully 
We had 11 winners for the last session of Guess this Anime :
Amy-chan, Cotakk, geraldace, Ingu, Jumendez-sama, LaLa-Sama, MuraChan, Mutsumi, Raitsui, Silent4lyfe and wujunjie : gratz !
The first GtA of this week is only 5 seconds long (although it’s not as hard as it seems).
Also changed the Beat of the week. This week is the almighty “Oblivious” with Kalafina. Expect the alternative epilogue of Kara no Kyoukai to be out & subbed in a few days. Can’t wait to see it.
3.1 of the Spring chart is coming next (should’ve done that yesterday, but you’re used to me delaying things, right? :p).
On another note, that 3rd episode of Break Blade was much better than the 2nd one.

Japanese Artists – Shuz
I really hesitated between 2 artists, but I chose this one cos I didn’t present this “style” (can we even consider this a style?) yet.
Shuz (shuz (しゅーじ))
Well, if you like them big (but.. I mean.. really big), then Shuz is unlikely to disappoint you. Usually, I’m not too interested in those because over-proportioned bodies ruin the picture most of the time (too much is too much). Still, I think Shuz does a good job in keeping the pictures “cute”, even though the drawing style is pretty common. However, most of his characters have the same face with different hair & eye colors only (just look at different pictures in his Pixiv profile, you’ll get what I mean). He’d be much better if he’d work on a wider variety of “facial designs” imo, though the actual style is pretty good in itself.

Just noticed that I forgot to arrange the TV series properly on the Spring chart v3. Will release a 3.1 this Sunday to fix this (the v3 is fine though, content speaking).

End of the first session of “Guess this Anime” for this week.
We had 9 winners : Aelphais, Amy-chan, Cotakk, geraldace, Ingu, LaLa-Sama, Raitsui, Silent4lyfe and wujunjie, gratz !
The answer was “Arakawa Under the Bridge”.
The sample for this second half of the week is.. well.. easy and hard at the same time. Give it a try !
The chart is coming in about 2 hours. Should’ve released it yesterday but Morpheus got me before I could finish.

Plot Summary:
Yukari is a typical high-school student who listens to her parents and attends school everyday. As she starts to question her way of life, she encounters a group of fashion design students who has a clothing label known as “Paradise Kiss”. The group needs to find a model to showcase their designs in an up-coming fashion show and decides to pick Yukari instead. Initially, Yukari was reluctant to be associated with this seemingly eccentric group, but eventually, she realises that they are really nice people. Furthermore, their passion and enthusiasm to follow their ideals and dreams make Yukari realize that she has not been enjoying her life and this motivated her to pursue her own dreams.

Recommended Fansubs: niizk [niizk], THORAnime [THORA].
My opinion: At first sight, the plot may make you think “bleh, wazzat?” but before you know it, you’re already addicted to the story. Just like the plot says, characters are all “eccentric”; each one has his/her problems in life, and you get to know a bit more about them as the story progresses. Needless to say, their personalities are totally different from one to another, which creates quite an unusual/unique atmosphere in the group. Romance speaking, this is more like “adult romance” rather than your usual “school-like” love story. Be advised that from time to time, there may be some nudity in the show.
What else to say.. This anime left a really good impression on me. The atmosphere is a bit unusual so it may not please everyone, but honestly : you’d miss something by not watching it

Okay, let’s start with last week’s “Guess this Anime” session.
I thought more people would find the answer since the show just finished airing.
The correct answer was.. Ika Musume ! If you listen closely, you can hear Ika-chan speaking at the end of the sample. If you want me to post the video part from which the sample was extracted, just ask

I’ve put an easier one this week (or so i think).
After giving some thought to Ingu’s suggestion, I decided to go with it.
From now on, there will be not one but two “Guess this Anime” sessions per week.
One will go from Monday to Thursday and the other from Friday to Sunday/Monday (approximately).
Don’t hesitate to remind me on Thursday if I forget (that wouldn’t surprise me, heh).
I’m trying to implement a new minigame for the blog but I’m having trouble finding a decent script,
so I’ll save that for later.
“Discover this anime” post is coming next.
